Why is it that the council will not do a repair to your home unless you contact an MP or serve them with court action. Now correct me if I am wrong, but are we not paying the council rent towards the maintenance and the up keep of their buildings. So if they constantly refuse responsibility and make dumb ass excuses for not repairing it, even if it is a health and safety issue then everyone should hold on to the rent and ignore them and tell blatant lies and excuse the same as they do to us.

Most off all, ask them to do a house swap with us for a week and let them tell us if our uninhabitable conditions are still ok. I wonder where all the rent is going because it is certainly not going on repairs, does a big bonus ring any bells.
