TWO Lithuanian police recruits that are celebrating making their officers grade will be fighting crime in Westminster after being stationed at Paddington Green.

PC Tatjana Arsoba, formerly a special constable in Newham, and PC Valdone Visinskyte will join the ranks at Paddington Green following the passing out parade this week.

PC Arsoba said: “It really is the best day of our lives and such an honour for our country. It’s great to be able to use my languages like this.

“I was an accountant but I switched careers because I wanted something more challenging and I have definitely found that with the Met.”
