Your views on the wharf

• FURTHER to the second public exhibition hosted by the Camden Market Estates Holdings (June 16-18), we are concerned that, as the developer is poised to submit their application, public awareness of the imminent redevelopment is at an all-time low.

Hawley Wharf Action Group has already organised several public meetings where it was clear local people and businesses currently on the Hawley Wharf site have many concerns and unanswered questions about what the final development will look like and its impact.

There are issues about what the site will contain, what things will be lost, the design, height and bulk and, not least, the disruption during the construction period.

The action group hope to be canvassing the opinions of as many people as we can with a door-to-door survey, which will also be able to be completed online.

The aim of the survey is to make sure that people locally know the exact area being developed, what it might look like and to let people know when the planning application is made and how they can make their views known.

In addition, we want as many people as possible to say what things local they might want to gain from the development in terms of local shops, leisure and other facilities, so that we can feed that back.
