Camden & Islington Youth League

THE Heath continued their impressive debut season in the league on Saturday with a 3-0 victory over Lyndhurst at Market Road.

The under-8s side (pictured) put in a tremendous team effort as goals from James Taylor, Dion Sfarca and Elias Da Costa-Evert settled the tie.

Elsewhere St Pancras marched into the semi-finals of the Under-10s League Cup with a 2-1 win over ‘A’ Class. Tyrell Marius-Hewitt fired the Saints into an early lead when he added the finishing touches to a great passing move involving captain Bailey Johnston and winger Joel Chileshe.

Johnston doubled the lead for St Pancras before the break with what proved to be the winner.

Rivals ‘A’ Class come out fighting in the second half, but defenders Marlon Miguel and William Sousa put their bodies on the line as they made last-ditch tackles and blocks.

The stand-out player in the second half was Saints’ goalkeeper Jamie Sanches, who pulled off a string of magnificent saves to deny ‘A’ Class until the final minutes of the match.
