PLAYERS from VCC Islington White brought the curtain down on the Camden and Regent’s Park Youth League in spectacular style on Saturday when they won the Under-12s ‘B’ League Cup.
Led by player-of-the-tournament Lennie Armstrong, the league newcomers beat South Hampstead FC 4-1 to clinch the trophy.
Although the action at Regent’s Park is now over, there is still everything to play for in the Camden and Islington Youth League.
St Pancras are closing in on the Under-9s ‘A’ title after beating FDS 3-0 on Friday. Taylor Peck scored twice, while Tolga Guztas also got on the score-sheet with a smart turn and finish.
In the Friendly Under-8s Division, Emmanuel Mak- aya scored twice as Lyndhurst beat EC1 Youth 2-0. In the same age group The Heath battled out a 1-1 draw with Regent’s Park Panthers. James Taylor scored for the Heath, while Eliyar Parkadoust was on target for the Panthers.
