FORGET Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, the real “goal-machine” this season is Phoenix striker Anthony Clarke.
The hotshot, who lives in Kentish Town, smashed in five goals against AFC Shooters at the weekend as Phoenix booked their place in the final of our prestigious Camden Sunday League Challenge Cup.
Clarke has now scored 45 goals this season, putting his club on course for a possible treble, its having already won the Division One title and reached the final of the Senior Cup.
On Sunday against the Shooters Paul Dunne opened the scoring when he headed home Jason Donion’s cross midway through first half.
Clarke then took over with his five-goal super show, before Donion wrapped up a 7-1 victory from the penalty spot.
