HAMPSTEAD Hawks soared through to the semi-finals of the Camden and Regent’s Park League Cup on Saturday after swooping to a 3-1 victory over Highgate Rangers.

Sam Grigioni fired the under-9s side (pictured) into an early lead before Brady Thompson doubled the advantage with a composed finish. Highgate pulled a goal back, but Mustafa Farah put the result beyond doubt with a decisive third for Hampstead.

Highgate did their best to get back into the game, but good saves from Sam Thornton and Luke Elliott ensured that Hawks flew into the final four.

In the Under-12s ‘A’ Division, Islington Admiral Youth secured a 1-0 victory over London Tigers. Anthony Roberts scored a contender for goal-of-the-season when a stunning half-volley after being played in by captain Teddy Tumbridge.
