FANS of the Harrow Soccer-7s Combination Youth League were all talking about the astonishing 4-4 draw at the weekend.
No, I’m not referring to Arsenal’s Premier League result against Newcastle, but Hampstead’s eight-goal thriller against TFA Crouch End.
The under-9s side were on target for victory at half-time after goals from Jacob Norden and Tasker Wheeler gave them a 2-1 lead. The game was turned on its head in the second half, however, as Hampstead conceded three quick goals as they struggled against the wind and playing uphill. The spirited side refused to give up and battled back to earn a point thanks to an inspiring performance from Oscitia Okadigbo.
The leading scorer bagged a brace to take his personal tally to 10 goals for the season, leaving Hampstead four points behind the league leaders with a game in hand.
