THERE were thrills, spills and a glut of goals this week in the Camden and Islington Youth League at Market Road.
James Taylor scored the only goal of the game as the Heath netted a 1-0 win over ‘A’ Class in the Under-8s Division.
Isledon Wolves also ran out 1-0 winners in their Under-9s South Division match against Regent’s Park thanks to a goal from Lewis Christie.
In the same division Angel Islington recorded a 2-1 victory against St Pancras. In a highly-entertaining match, goals from Archie Gadsdon and Jordan Cole earned Angel the win. The Saints had equalised through Charlie Clarke, but they were denied a share of the points thanks to some fantastic goalkeeping from Freddie Kinsella.
In the Under-10s ‘A’ Division Isledon Wolves beat Westway 7-2. Nathan Carlyle netted a hat-trick, while star player Teon Levy-Wright scored twice. Jack Cheeseman and Nicky Marshall were also on target for Wolves.
In the Under-12s ‘A’ League Angel Islington suffered a 2-1 defeat against Crown and Manor despite a man-of-the-match display from their goalkeeper Drew Gray-McIntyre. Jack Richardson had given Angel the lead with a fantastic free-kick, but Crown and Manor hit back to take the points.
In the same division, goals from Bassan Menhal and Tommy Righelato gave Isledon Wolves a 2-0 win over Westway.
Two goals from Alfie Costello and a strike from Omar Saada also saw Wolves pick up an impressive win in the Under-13s ‘B’ Division with a 3-0 victory over Regent’s Park.
In the Under-14s ‘B’ Division St Pancras celebrated a 1-0 win over Peel thanks to a clinical finish from Ryan Salter.
Meanwhile, in the Camden and Regent’s Park Youth League, West End FC beat Totally Goal 2-0 in the Under-10s Division thanks to strikes from Connor Chapman and Tony Stanford.
In the Harrow Youth League Hampstead twice came from behind to beat St Joseph’s 5-3 in the Under-11s Premier Division. Tarell Noel-Watson scored a hat-trick, while vice-captain Luke Dyer bagged a brace.
