Local football - Camden and Islington Youth League - New season down at Market Road

SCORES of talented young footballers flocked back to Market Road on Friday as the Camden and Islington Youth League returned ahead of what promises to be another thrilling season.
In the Under-9s North Division Primrose Hill started their campaign with a big win over the Heath. Matthew Knight and Jezz Zeigherman scored two goals each, while Finlay Bell and Barnaby Lee also found the back of the net in a 6-0 victory.
In the Under-10s ‘A’ League Nathan Carlyle scored twice as Isledon Wolves beat Primrose Hill. Kyroe Omar-Brandy and Teon Levy-Wright also hit the target in a 4-0 win.
In the same division keeper Jamie Sanches helped St Pancras earn a point against Westway. Midfielder William Sousa also made a commanding debut for the Saints in an entertaining goalless draw.
In the Under-10s ‘B’ League Soccerscool came from a goal down to beat Regent’s Park 3-1 thanks to strikes from Xavier Cumberbatch, Freddie Hockey and Thomas Harrison.
In the same division midfielder Anthony Needs scored twice as Chapel Boys netted a hard fought 2-1 victory over Lyndhurst.
In the Under-13s ‘A’ League Lyndhurst were made to work hard for the points in their game against ‘A’ Class. Danny Leonard topped off some flowing football to give Lyndhurst the lead, before Brody Walters wrapped up a 2-0 win late on.
