KENTISH Town FC netted their first win of the season on Saturday when they beat Stotfold 2-1 in the Premier Division of the Spartan South Midlands League.
The Townies had to come from a goal down to capture three deserved points after Stotfold took the lead midway through the first half thanks to a strike from Ryan Aldrin.
Just three minutes into the second half striker James Lindsay scored a contender for goal-of-the-season with a 30-yard thunderbolt.
The Townies continued to created numerous chances, with Lee Scott firing a header wide and seeing two shots well saved by the
Stotfold keeper.
The winning goal came with 20 minutes to go when Sarfraz Pivano ran through and slotted the ball into the path of Scott, whose shot was saved but still managed to find the back of the net via a defender.
