KENTISH Town FC kick off their new season on Saturday when they travel to Hertfordshire to take on Tring Athletic in the Premier Division of the Spartan South Midlands League.
The team have enjoyed a successful pre-season, picking up five wins, four draws and just one defeat from 10 games. Manager Rakatahr Hudson, who is entering his second full season with the club, said: “We’ve lost some good players who have gone on to play at a higher level, with three joining Hendon.
“But we’ve also strengthened our side, and our squad is the strongest that it has ever been.
“We have extremely tough opening fixtures with five away games against teams that finished right at the top of the table last season.
“I’m confident, however, that with the players that we have we can cause a few upsets.”
