"Special Measures" means that the school will be given extra resources and help to improve. School reputations always tend to lag with a good reputation lasting longer than it ought and with a bad reputation hanging on often until well after it was justified.

Given the new head and all the extra help parents thinking of sending their children there this autumn should be reassured.
