The London Blitz’ first season in Europe was brought to an end by Swedish side, the Carlstadt Crusaders on Saturday in the semi-finals of the European Federation (EFAF) Cup.
Despite the efforts of running back Gareth Dauley and wide receiver Michael Kolawole (on the left), the Carlstadt defence proved too much to handle for the young Blitz offence.
In the second quarter the Carlstadt offence, led by American import quarterback Rob Curley, scored three possessions to leave the Blitz trailing 19-0.
Things didn’t get any better for the Finsbury Park-based side, with the Crusaders going on to seal a convincing 27-0 victory.
