This wouldn't be nearly as good a story if the West End Extra had printed the full facts as they were presented to the paper last week. Westminster Kingsway College's statement to Jamie Whelam opened by saying that we are very hopeful of keeping the site in Peter Street open in spite of the reductions in funding the college is suffering.

Presumably, next week's headline will read 'College backs down - Extra's campaign keeps site open'. I suppose it sells newspapers but it also adds unnecessary anxiety for those who rely on further education for such fundamentals as learning the English they need to read them.
