I don't agree
Submitted by Anonymous on Wed, 2010-09-01 23:13.I was in London over the bank holiday weekend with a disabled friend of mine. We visited Westminster and were surprised to see the tents of Mr Haw and his fellow campaigners sited on the actual pavement.
As we attempted to pass the so called 'democracy village' on the public footpath, we were obstructed by the tents of the protestors.
I am completely in favour of freedom of speech, and I am proud to live in a country where we can feel safe to express our views. However, I wonder what these protestors would think if I decided to camp next to them, and protest about the mess, potential health hazards and obstruction that they are causing?
As my friend and I attempted to pass this 'camp' I felt intimidated and nervous. I wish that someone had the courage and conviction of their beliefs to mount their own peaceful protest against this so called campaign.
