CAPTAIN Cesc Fabregas will leave Arsenal fans guessing as to whether or not he will still be at the club next season after revealing that an inspiring talk with Arsene Wenger has allowed him to focus on the World Cup.

The want-away playmaker is reportedly seeking a move back to his old club Barcelona, and the Catalan side have already admitted contacting the Gunners about a possible deal.

Speaking from the Spanish training camp, Fabregas said: “I have great respect for Wenger, for Arsenal Football Club and for the Arsenal fans.

“Sometimes not even in my house I felt more love than I felt at Arsenal.

“I had a long conversation with Arsene, it was probably the greatest conversation I’ve had with someone in my life and I respect him so much and I don’t want to say too much about this.

“He told me to concentrate on my football, he told me to concentrate on the World Cup, he told me to leave it in his hands, he will deal with whatever happens in my future and that’s what I’m doing, just concentrating on football.”

Fabregas, who played alongside Lionel Messi in the Barcelona youth team before moving to north London seven years ago, signed an eight-year contract with the Gunners in 2006.

Barca are now trying to tempt Arsenal with an offer believed to be around £35million, and Fabregas admits that his next move is now out of his hands.

“It’s not up to me any more and it’s just now about Arsenal and wherever it has to be and that’s it. I don’t want to say anything else.

“I just want to be focused for the World Cup because it is the most important thing – the rest is the future and I’m not interested in the future.”
