Local boxing - Fans enjoyed eight bouts at the Boston Dome in Tuffnell Park

BOXING fans got the chance to enjoy eight energy-sapping bouts at the Boston Dome in Tufnell on Thursday when Islington ABC held their annual dinner show.
First fight of the night saw Islington’s Casie Devlin, 12, narrowly lose out on points to Billy Fanneran of Hooks ABC in the 47kg category.
The host club celebrated their first win of the night in the 54kg division when Anthony Ward, 15, gained a commanding points victory over Zac Lamzouri of Fitzroy Lodge ABC.
Other highlights saw Charlie Dickie, 15, put in one of Islington’s most powerful performances as he stopped Albano Parcewski of Edmonton Eagles in the opening round of their 77kg contest.
There was also a good win for Angel ABC junior Connor Joseph, who beat Shams Ahmadi of Frank Bruno Academy in a closely-fought 63kg bout.
