Camden Sports - Ethan’s moment of mascot magic - Ethan Lowry Meets Robin Van Persie

Published: 29 April, 2010

• JUNIOR Gunner Ethan Lowry Beardsley was jumping for joy on Saturday when he was selected as the Arsenal mascot for their Premier League game against Manchester City.
The lucky eight-year-old from Camden Town was chosen at random to be the Gunners’ mascot and got the chance to lead out the team and meet some of his favourite players.
As a Junior Gunner, Ethan was given the once-in-a-lifetime chance of not only walking the team out onto the pitch at the Emirates Stadium and meeting his heroes but also bagging players’ autographs and a brand new Arsenal kit too.
The delighted youngster said afterwards: “I can’t believe I was chosen. There are thousands of kids who are Junior Gunners and it’s a dream come true to be the club’s mascot.
“I had such a great time and it was awesome to meet all my favourite players”.
Star striker Robin van Persie added: “It was great to meet Ethan. We all hope that he had a great day out and enjoyed all the action.”
