BUDDING footballers from St Aloysius Primary School celebrated a delightful double this week when they won both the boys’ and girls’ Southern League championships.

Organised by the Camden Schools Sports Association, the Somers Town-based school were in sensational form throughout the 13-week competition.

The St Aloysius boys’ team won their title without losing a single game, while the girls’ team lost just once during their victorious campaign.

It’s the second year in a row that the triumphant school have won both the leagues.

In the Northern League, New End School in Hampstead won the boys title with a perfect record of 12 wins out of 12, while Gospel Oak clinched the girls’ trophy with 11 wins out of 12.

There were also awards for Primrose Hill, Our Lady’s, Christchurch in Hampstead and Gospel Oak who were all presented with Fair Play Trophies.
