ARSENAL Ladies netted their ninth win of the season on Sunday with a thrilling victory over London rivals Chelsea.
The result leaves Tony Gervaise’s side four points behind league leaders Sunderland with six games in hand.
Gemma Davison gave the Gunners a 56th-minute lead when she skipped beyond the Chelsea back line and slotted in. Danielle Carter extended the lead nine minutes from time when she pounced on Kim Little’s defence-splitting pass.
The visitors ensured a tense finish with six minutes remaining when Lianne Sanderson scored against her former club but Arsenal held out.

Hillingdon 2, Camden Town 8
ALEX Henderson marked Camden Town’s return to action following the big freeze with a hat-trick on Sunday.
Sophie Langman also bagged a brace as Town recorded their third victory in 11 outings.
A Kath Wickens penalty and strikes from Carmel Clinton and Genia Gulyas completed an 8-2 rout.
London FA Junior County Cup
Katabella 9, Greenhouse 1
STAR striker Kate Hesford fired the Kats into the semi-finals of the County Cup on Sunday with a six-goal supershow.
Despite having not played a game since before Christmas because of the weather, the Camden-based side made light work of their opponents with Rachel Ojelade, Helen Frazer and Tamar Koch also finding the back of the net.
