ARSENAL Ladies will be looking to make it three wins out of three in the new Women’s Super League tonight (Thursday) when they take on Birmingham.
So far the north Londoners have had to grind their way to wins over Bristol Academy and Chelsea, and according to manager Laura Harvey things are only going to get harder as they prepare to take on the early pace-setters at Meadow Park.
Harvey expects a “formidable” test against a Birmingham side that has scored nine goals and conceded none in their first three games.
“They are physically strong with a good forward line, but I think we’ve got to put our experience into practice. If we can do that, we can come away with a victory. I think, domestically, it’s going to be our toughest game of the season so far but we are fully prepared for it.”
