Kids’ Mini-Marathon fiesta - Team Camden rise to challenge in Capital’s fun-soaked run

TEAM Camden soaked up the sun on Sunday when they turned out in force to take part in the London Mini-Marathon.
Tackling a testing three-mile course from Lower Thames Street to The Mall, Ben Hatch recorded Camden’s best placed finish when he came 10th in the boys’ under-13s event with a speedy time of 18mins, 09seconds. Team-mate Josh Kenway was the quickest to complete the course for Camden when he hit home in 16.56 to finish 36th in the boys’ under-17s race. Alec Jacoby also put in a solid run to take 64th spot in the boys’ under-15s category with a time of 18.20.
In the girls’ category, Hannah Viner was fastest home for Camden when she finished 14th in the under-15s race with a time of 19.54. Lily Baldwin (20.44) and Tallulah Taylor (21.14) gave Hannah good support with 30th and 40th places respectively.
Amy-Jane Cotter was the borough’s top finisher in the under-17s race, clocking 20.27.
In her last mini-marathon, Amy, who has grabbed a top-50 placing for the past seven years for Camden, recorded her best-ever finish in coming 21st.
Amy received good back-up from Theo Prosser, who finished 51st, Thea Slotover, who took 55th place, and Lucy Evans, who was 68th.
Helen Roberts was the fastest Camden girl in the under-13s event, finishing 63rd in 21.33.
