Camden Sports Pitch was transformed into a 1980s dance scene as body-poppers and lockers showed off their moves in the grand finals of the Bring it Back Dance Championships

THE energy-sapping showpiece saw 15 acts from across the borough go head-to-head at the sports hub in Camden Street for the chance to win cash prizes, and more importantly be crowned the first ever Bring It Back champion.

The Youth Opportunities Funded project was organised by Phiz ’n’ Biz members Lloyd McDonald, and Lydia McDougall, who are both based at Highgate Newtown Community Centre in Bertram Street.

The competition proved a huge success with Kevin Edwards, known as Static, being awarded first prize, and with it a cheque for £500.

Female dance duo Abena Noel and Koco Zavaleta, performing as Double Beats, banked a cheque for £100 after taking the runners up spot.
