ST PANCRAS netted their first league win of the season on Friday when they beat Westway 5-2 in the Under-10s ‘A’ Division of the Camden and Islington Youth League.
Joel Chileshe volleyed home the opener for the Saints early on after good work from Tony Crawford, who then grabbed a goal of his own.
Tyrell Marius-Hewitt added a third, before Westway pulled a goal back. Any chances of Westway mounting a comeback were thwarted by two superb saves from Saints’ keeper Jamie Sanches. Skipper Bailey Johnston put the result beyond doubt with a neat finish, before Chileshe scored his second.
St Pancras have also reached the final of the Under-10s Challenge Cup after a 2-1 victory over ‘A’ Class in the semi-finals.
Crawford fired the Saints ahead when he finished a passing move involving Johnston and winger Chileshe. Marius-Hewitt scored the winner when he stole the ball and slotted his shot past the keeper. With two minutes remaining ‘A’ Class pulled a goal back but the Saints held on.
