Pimlico Academy pupils Sabir Sufi and Yanna Agirov meet Prince Charles at Clarence House |
Making history Academy’s Royal mark
HOB-nobbing with Royalty got a place on the timetable at Pimlico Academy this week, as the school’s history department was awarded the Prince of Wales’ Teaching Institute Programme Mark at Clarence House.
Students and teachers from the Lupus Street academy were among three schools of the 51 present to give a presentation to the Prince at the launch of the scheme, which “recognises and rewards the development of inspirational ideas and activities which enhance the teaching of English, history and science”. Pupil Yanna Agirov, who met the Prince, said: “A lot of things that support our society root from good education. It’s nice [Prince Charles] has taken the time to think about that.” |
