WISE choice: Princess backs women in science
THE Princess Royal hosted an event to encourage more schoolgirls to pursue careers in science when she visited Westminster Academy this week
The Harrow Road school was chosen because three of the architects who designed the award-winning building are women. The princess is the patron of the Women into Science, Engineering and Construction (WISE) campaign group.
She met pupils on Tuesday to help encourage them to consider roles in what are traditionally seen as male-dominated sectors.
