• CARVE a jack-o’-lantern and don a scary mask – and get set for London’s first major puppetry festival for 25 years. On Halloween, the 10-day long Suspense festival gets off the ground with Perseus and the Gorgon’s Head, an epic adventure based on the Greek myth of Medusa. The show, performed by a cast of five people and 20 puppets, is on at the Little Angel Theatre, 14 Dagmar Passage, N1 at 7pm on October 31. A festival programme is at: suspensefestival.com
• MORE spooky goings on at the Courtyard Theatre in Hoxton, where a macabre new adaptation of 1621 play The Witch of Edmonton is showing. The production promises to be a “spine-chilling story of demons, marriage and murder” set in sleepy Edmonton. It is based on a true story of London witchcraft. The play runs until November 15 at the theatre in Pitfield Street, N1. Tickets are £15, £12 concessions.
• BRAVO to our Little Voice competition winners! The lucky five were Georgina Brazier-Potter, Malcolm Toperoff, Andrew McCall, Angela Linekar and Lisa Ridgeway, all of whom were whisked off with a guest to the uplifting West End musical earlier this week.
