PREVIEW: THE MERCHANT OF VENICE Hampstead Parish Church
ONE of Shakespeare’s most controversial plays takes root in Hampstead Parish Church this week. The Hampstead Players, who stage a production among the tombstones of the church in Church Row every winter and every summer, will seek to portray the famous Jewish moneylender Shylock sympathetically in their version of The Merchant of Venice.
Performances are on Thursday, Friday and Saturday matinee and evening. Tickets £10, £8 concessions.
