Concert in aid of hospice
PREVIEW: MARIE CURIE CONCERT St John’s Wood Church
TOP drawer clarinettists are to play in a concert in St John’s Wood Church on Saturday to raise funds for the Marie Curie Hospice, Hampstead. The concert has been arranged to thank the hospice for looking after esteemed clarinettist, composer and musician Gordon Lewin during the last few weeks of his life.
The British Clarinet Ensemble will be performing, as will world-renowned clarinettist Jozsef Ballogh and his Klezmer group, clarinettist Victoria Soames Samek and singer Danni Bernstein.
They will be playing a varied and eclectic collection of music including some of Gordon Lewin’s compositions.
