MUCH excitement this week as the Birds Eye View Film Festival finally gets going. It celebrates the achievements of women who are behind the camera and in the director’s chair. Among the highlights of the festival, which starts tomorrow (Friday) at the ICA in The Mall, is Camden Town-based film-maker Franny Armstrong’s Age of Stupid. It starts at 7pm. • The Torriano pub in Torriano Avenue, Kentish Town, now have a projector in their wonderful cellar bar for private screenings. It is available for hire and I can see myself rocking up with a gang of mates to catch our favourite films in one of our favourite pubs.
