Alex Turner from the Arctic Monkeys
Got some unfinished Monkeys business?
PREVIEW: ARCTIC MONKEYS Live at the Apollo
USUALLY if you miss a gig there’s little more that can be done than write it off as a lost opportunity.
But for those who missed the Arctic Monkeys’ last sold-out concert of 2007 there’s another chance to see Alex Turner et al give one of their most intense performances to date – all from the comfort of a cinema seat.
For one night only, Vue cinemas are showing Arctic Monkeys at the Apollo on screens across the country, including Vue Islington, N1 Centre, Angel and Vue West End, Leicester Square.
With a set list including I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor, Fluorescent Adolescent and Brianstorm, cinema staff may have a hard time keeping the audience in their seats.
The film, shot on the last night of their world tour at Manchester Apollo, was directed, edited and produced by a long list of renowned and award-winning names, including Richard Ayoade (The Mighty Boosh, The IT Crowd) and captured on film by directors of photography led by Danny Cohen (This is England, Pierrepoint).
This promises to be a unique opportunity to see an unusual piece of cinema on the big screen, in high definition and with full surround sound.

The show takes place on Tuesday, October 14 at 9pm.
