MAKE haste! The Camden Fringe is now halfway through its 2008 run.
The festival continues to grow in size and stature with each passing year (it is now in its third) and to commemorate this smorgasbord of earthly delights In the Wings has sniffed out some of the up-coming shows it would be downright foolish to miss:
EURIPIDES' blood-drenched revenge tragedy Elektra gets hiked up a notch in a modern adaptation set in Mugabe’s Zimbabwe.
Agememnon’s daughter plots the death of her
murderous mother from August 11-13 at the Camden People’s Theatre. Tickets cost £7.50.
THOSE looking for something completely different might enjoy My First Threesome at the Etcetera.
The trilogy of new writing about relationships probably sounds a lot raunchier than it actually is, since it’s at 6pm. August 22-24.
CHAMBERS and Nettleton make the rather long-winded claim that they are the only female comedy double act regulars on the live UK comedy circuit.
There are just two nights left at the Etcetera Theatre to find out if they are as amusing as they are verbose.
It’s a Double Act Thing (on until August 9) explores the great comedic double acts; what makes Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin or Eric and Ernie work?If none of this tickles your fancy there’s much more on offer. Visit the website www.camdenfringe.org
