Clare Latimer's recipe for
Home-made Yoghurt
Home-made Yoghurt
This is so easy and it is such a treat to have freshly made live yoghurt each day, and at a much lower cost than the bought ones. I find it better to flavour the yoghurt after it is made but you could experiment and let me know. I usually pour over some Maple Syrup or runny honey or just serve with fresh fruit.
Ingredients
One pint of full fat milk;
One small tub of live yoghurt.
Method
Heat the milk to tepid (below blood temperature) and then stir in the pot of yoghurt. Pour into a dish or bowl and either put into a gas oven with a pilot light, but with the oven turned off or into an airing cupboard and leave overnight. It will then be set. Cover and store in the fridge.
