DIANA Athill’s literary career involved working with many of the great writers of the 20th century – Norman Mailer, Philip Roth and Simone de Beauvoir to name but three. And now in the 21st century she is still writing about her life at the great age of 91. So it promises to be a lively event when Diana – a novelist and memoirist who lives in Primrose Hill – hosts an evening at the Belsize Library in Antrim Grove, NW3, on Thursday June 26 at 7.30pm.
Her memoirs (the most recent volume being Somewhere Towards the End, published in January by Granta) have included frank accounts of her love affairs and her life as a literary agent.
