THE first UK screening of a hard-hitting film about the Arab-Israeli conflict is screened this Sunday morning at the Renoir. Gaza Strip, directed by James Longley, was produced in 2001 and after the film, which documents the lives of Palestinians living in the area. Following the film there will be a Q&A discussion with Lib-Dem MP Sarah Teather, Palestinian UK delegate Dr Husam Zomlot and the chair of the Islington Friends of Yibna Yael Kahn.

* FLEXED muscles and dank gyms are the order of the day as the Renoir cinema screens the 1978 Bruce Weber boxing documentary Broker Noses on Sunday. Weber – whose bio-pic on jazz trumpeter Chet Baker, Lets Get Lost, is currently being screened – tells the story of professional lightweight boxer Andy Minsker and the club he runs in Portland, Oregan. The show starts at 3pm.
