•THERE’S gosh an’ begorra in spades when a Hollywood film crew turns a small Irish village upside down in Stones in Pockets.
The award-winning comedy allows two dynamic actors to tell the story by impersonating everyone, from disgruntled, crazed extras to movie bigwigs.
Stones will be throwing belly laughs from June 10-14 at Theatro Technis, courtesy of the Tower Theatre Company.
• REVIVED after success on the Royal Court stage, Martin Crimp’s black comedy No One Sees The Video returned to the Rosemary Branch Theatre in Angel to rave reviews last week.
Critics have heaped praise on this young production about the predatory world of a post-Thatcherite age.
Contradictory though it may sound, make sure everyone you know sees the play No One Sees The Video.
• STEP into an imaginary world of Bonnie and Clyde hold-ups, the protection of a local hermit and a missing postman.
Tom O’Brien’s ripping new yarn of lost loves and gun-wielding relatives gets a rehearsed one-off reading at the Irish Centre in Camden Square on June 2, at 2pm. Admission is free and all are welcome.
• FORMER Hackney Empire impresario Roland Muldoon continues to up the culture in Kilburn at his Cock Tavern night.
Next up is artist Peter Kennard, who talks about his recent witty, political work on the Palestine wall on Monday June 9.
Doors are 8pm, for a 9pm start.
