The Review - THEATRE
Published: 17 April 2008

In the wings

• THE respectable class’s worst nightmare comes to the Cock Tavern in Kilburn for one night only. Boxing, alcohol, prison and the hope of a good breakfast, take centre stage.
Written and performed by Bob Boyton, Bomber Jackson Does Some shows for one night only, April 21.

• A POLISHED one-night-only production of Jules Romains’s Dr Knock comes to the Etcetera Theatre courtesy of the Tufnell Park Theatre Company.
Written in 1927 and set in post-war France, the “revolutionary play” probes the dawn of the scientific age. Don’t miss director Laura Steel’s debut from 9.30pm on April 21.

• A PERFORMANCE without performers. Avant garde dramatist Heiner Goebbels’s classical music score has no musicians but five self-playing pianos. Experience Stifter’s Dinge at the University of Westminster in Marylebone. To April 27.
