In the wings

• ONCE a ballast of the West End, it now seems a while since Yasmin Reza’s comment on the whys and wherefores of modern aesthetics – Art – graced the London stage. High time then, for Tower Theatre company’s revival at the Theatro Technis this week.
Join Serge, Marc and Ivan as they ponder the merits of a distinctly white canvas until Saturday Feb 24. A Q&A with the cast and director follows the show tonight (Thursday).

• FOR a hands-on approach to theatre, the Pleasance Theatre in Islington has the answer.
Children aged six and up are invited to help Jack build the ultimate den before he sets off on his quest to find the trapdoor and escape from the attic. Jack’s Quest, featuring the relatively new “free play” concept, at the Pleasance Theatre in Carpenters Mews runs from February 28 - March 1.

• A NEW generation of theatre producers display their wares at the King’s Head Theatre this week.
Enterprising students from Camden School for Girls have raised the funds to stage their self-penned debut No Entry at the Islington theatre.
The Biggs and Basri Productions piece, nurtured by the producers of Brick Lane, Bridget Jones’s Diary and Juliet Stevenson, is on at 1pm every day until Sunday February 24.
