Good reasons to see the big, bad wolf
PREVIEW: LITTLE WOLF'S BOOK OF BADNESS
Hampstead Theatre
BASED on the best-selling children’s book by Ian Whybrow, Little Wolf’s Book of Badness comes to the Hampstead stage this Christmas. Staged by the theatre’s artistic director Tony Clark, the show is a magical, musical adaptation of the story about a group of children who stop a wolf from being bad.
Sing along to classic choruses like “Never say thank you, play with your food, and make all your noises naughty and rude… And you will be well on your way to earning your BAD badge”.
Each year the Hampstead Theatre stages a Christmas classic, a tribute to Mr Clark’s passion for children’s theatre that won him a TMA award for Best Show for Young People for his 1997 adaptation of Albert Lamorisse’s The Red Balloon.
Since then he has adapted, directed or written more than 13 children’s productions, including The Snowman, The Little Prince, The Pied Piper and Pinocchio.
Ian Whybrow was the mind behind the best-selling book Harry and the Bucketful of Dinosaurs and his 2002 animated film Little Wolf’s Book of Badness was shortlisted for four British Academy Animation Awards in 2004. Until January 5
