Child’s play for Emperor ensemble
PREVIEW: CAVATINA FAMILY CONCERT Swiss Cottage Library
THE Cavatina Chamber Music Trust continues its bid to instill a love of classical music in children on Sunday, with another free concert at Swiss Cottage Library. Performing on this occasion are the wonderful, award-winning Emperor Quartet, who boast more than two decades’ experience as an ensemble and an appearance CV that reads like a “best-of” of the world’s classical music festivals.
An ideal opportunity for any parent wishing to introduce their child to the joys of chamber music in a friendly, fun and educational environment, Sunday’s programme will feature works including Stravinsky’s 3 Pieces, no 2, Debussy’s Quartet (second movement) and Haydn’s Op 33 No 1 Rondo.
