Wigmore’s bank notes!
WIGMORE Hall is running a special series of concerts and workshops, thanks to a grant from the Lottery’s Awards for All scheme, announced on Monday. The Wigmore Hall Trust received just under £10,000 to develop its work in music-making and putting on classical concerts more accessible to people who through lack of money or opportunity are not usually found in the audience at the famous concert hall.
Specifically, the grant will help to fund six concerts featuring top-class musicians, as well as family workshops and outreach days. One of the outreach days will be run through links with the Royal National Institute for the Blind for young people with visual impairments.
* Full details of the concert series will be available at www.wigmore-hall.org.uk
