TOMORROW (Friday) sees the start of a week and half long showcase featuring the best in traditional Irish music.
Now in its ninth year, the Return to Camden festival has gone from strength to strength, paying tribute to the cultural foundations of London’s ever-present Irish community.
This year’s festival consists of a healthy mix of trad heavyweights and relative newcomers to the scene, as well as dance workshops, informal sessions and album launches.
Highlights include an opening night concert by the legendary Patrick Street and performances later in the week by The Abbey and Swallow’s Tail.
With events planned across Camden, the festival is a must for both the trad enthusiast and the curious uninitiated.
