In the wings

SILVER-HAIRED thespians will unveil the fruits of their labours tomorrow (Friday) when the best six scripts of their workshop are ­performed by ­professional actors.
Camden mayor Dawn Somper is among the guests for the rehearsed script-in-hand reading of the cream of the crop of local elderly talent at Hampstead Theatre, Swiss Cottage.
Admission is free and the curtain rises at 4pm sharp.

RADA alumni Michael Blackham reads teachings from the tree of life, no less, at St Michael's Church, Camden Road, next week.
Performance of this slice of ancient wisdom from the Dead Sea Scrolls begins at 8pm, October 6, and will be followed by a Socratic dialogue with the audience, so bring your philosophers cap. Box office: 020 7692 0456.

IT'S your last chance to catch the risque comedy All I Need is a F*ck Buddy at the beautiful Canal Cafe Theatre in Maida Vale. Single Sadie must contend with the warring factions of her good romantic side and her oversexed bad side, but is Mr Right under her nose?

The Bard’s popular comedy of testosterone-fuelled youths, serious men of ­business, and two scheming brothers gets an exciting East ­European facelift, but promises “respect for the text” – something to delight newcomers and purists alike then. From October 4-7.
