THE Tower Theatre company is 75 years young and next Saturday actors young and old will celebrate at a gala party in the Canal Museum, King’s Cross. But before the party starts the company presents Heartbreak House.
The comic masterpiece, written by George Bernard Shaw in 1919, is set in a house party at the eccentric home of a retired sea captain.
It shows us that those in power are hopeless political navigators.
The Tower Theatre, who used to have their own playhouse in Islington for 30 years, are still searching for their own home after losing their lease a few years ago.
They have been performing in the Bridewell Theatre, off Fleet Street, since then and that is where you can catch this five-day run from September 18.
A MARRIAGE of two petty criminals in Dublin takes centre stage at the Tricycle Theatre this month. The Pride of Parnell Street runs at the Kilburn Playhouse until September 22.
FILM, live art, animation and sound-technology come together in a chilling theatrical experience at the ICA. Little Mary is pronounced dead in a hospital at 3.27am.
Using “specialist ambisonic techniques” to create a three-dimensional aural picture, producers Ear Cinema promise to plunge you straight into the heart of the story.
Be afraid, be very afraid!
The ICA is holding two performances in October with a special late-night performance on October 31.
