Lazy ice cream Sunday
REVIEW - BEN AND JERRY'S SUMMER SUNDAE
Clapham Common
FLAVOUR of the month Jose Gonzalez was a coup for the organisers of the Ben and Jerry’s Summer Sundae micro-festival a fortnight ago.
Having shovelled as much free ice cream down our throats as possible before realising there was plenty to go round, Gonzalez’s (pictured) laid back strumming was perfect for a lazy day in the park.
The Argentinean Swede charmed us with his quirky songs and clever covers including a gentler version of Massive Attack’s Teardrop.
1990s band The Wonder Stuff roused a decent crowd out of their ice cream –induced slumber. For three minutes it was like the last 15 years never happened.
