Pick of the indies
A documentary called Who Killed The Electric Car? may be a question which is easy enough for any one to answer, and therefore perhaps not make the best topic for a big screen documentary.
But film-maker Chris Paine is a good story teller. He uses the hook of a General Motors plan to mass produce an electric vehicle in the early 1990s to discuss the wider history of the development of the car industry.
It has the capacity at times to be a little too preachy, but when you consider the market it has to break – this is an American made film for American audiences – that can also be forgiven
