The Howling Bells: Atmospheric Aussie band, described as ‘haunting’ and ‘mournful’ on the whole. Band of the future. ICA (Charing Cross Tube) £8.50.
Club Fandango in association with BBC6 Music: Get Cape, Wear Cape, Fly + The Dusty Sound System + The Piney Gir Country Roadshow + The Sound Movement. I’ve only heard of the Cape band – who are well worth watching – but there’s bound to be some roughcut diamonds in this line-up. Borderline (Tottenham Court Rd Tube) £7.
Anoushka Shankar: Sitar virtuoso Ravi’s daughter. Youngest-ever Grammy Award nominee, she plays sitar too. Jazz Café (Camden Town Tube) £18.50.
