Sundays are made for gigs like this
PREVIEW: FIVE DECADES IN TWELVE SUNDAYS
Proud
A FEW weeks ago I spoke to one of the PR guys for the Five Decades in Twelve Sundays event at Proud. He was promising me some big surprise guests and headliners not yet confirmed. “Oh yeah,” I thought. What a difference a month makes. The weekly residency, held every Sunday in association with Ben Sherman, has been a roaring success.
Top-notch bands like the Holloways have already dazzled there, while some serious heavyweights are still to come, including a just-announced set from “Honest Mistake” The Bravery this Sunday. Camden band The Bad Robots, who are on the line-up this week, are set to shine on what will mark the halfway point of the three month-long shows. See www.ben sherman.co.uk for full listings.
And as part of the summer season, Proud are staging a Razorlight exhibition which opens on Sunday.
Now you can ogle Johnny Borell’s amazing 40-pack as you tap your feet in the outdoor terrace.
In conjunction with the exhibition, there will also be an eye-wateringly intimate gig from one of Britain’s biggest bands in August.
