Henry Rollins’
Rollins gets stuck in a rut
PREVIEW: THE RUTS (FEAT. HENRY ROLLINS)
by Zhu Song
ONE of Henry Rollins’ favourite bands of all time, the reggae-influenced punk rock band, The Ruts, are famous for their top-10 hit Babylon’s Burning in 1979. A leading figure in the London punk movement, The Ruts guitarist Paul Fox was recently diagnosed with untreatable lung cancer.
Coaxed out of semi-retirement, Paul will play with the original members of the band for the first time in 20 years for a one-off benefit gig.
A rare performance from underground US cult-hero and general man-mountain Henry Rollins is also on the cards.
Promoted by Peafish, all proceeds from the evening will go towards Paul and Cancer Research.
